United says, no more masks
Airlines split on COVID mask policy after federal judge blocks Biden’s mask mandate for travelers: report
The CDC said it was extending its travel mask mandate until May 3
United Airlines on Monday said it would no longer enforce COVID mask mandates for employees and travelers after a federal judge’s move to void the Biden administration’s mask mandate for travelers.
"Effective immediately, masks are no longer required at United on domestic flights, select international flights (dependent upon the arrival country’s mask requirements) or at U.S. airports," the company told FOX Business in a statement."

The only reason I ever wear a mask is to reduce to zero my chances of having an unrequested interaction with anybody who might ask me to wear a mask. Those people are the worst, and to be avoided at all costs.
Strong moral stands are fun.

They're only fun if they rely on morality nobody questions. Otherwise they're risky, edge-lord stuff. Like my post, about masks and why I wear them these days.

The day after Trump got elected, one of my coworkers started a meeting by telling everybody her 9 year old son cried at the election results. Too bad it wasn't satire. Just a parent who indoctrinated their kid into feeling certain feelings, then got their shocked and outraged face on when their kid felt the feelings.

Liberals really just want to be slaves….

I don't think so. I think their perspective is that the Nazis—which is anyone not liberal—want to intern mankind in patriarchal concentration camps, and so they must be stopped by any means necessary.
So with masks for example, they aren't kowtowing in their reality. They're protecting the good people from no-mask-wearing Nazis. There's no difference in their mind between following mandates they agree with and being the enforcers.
If they wanted to be slaves, they'd be constantly looking to be told what to do. But their focus is on pretending to be Captain America fighting the supreme evil that is everything not liberal.

I was having internet troubles last night, so this didn’t attach. This was the reference for my comment that liberals just want to be slaves.

What they want is for their mainstream ideas to be enforced with prejudice by the government. They have been raised in a culture where they basically assume the government will toe the line with their opinions, so they are for big government. It is a peculiarity of their disconnect from reality that they manage to be this utterly mainstream and pro government, while considering themselves and everybody they know and like, their whole social and professional circle, to be mavericky counter-culturalists.

If the courts were taking away a government policy she didn't like, she'd be singing the praises of the US Constitution. And no doubt others would be complaining about activist judges.

Uh, no.
One side of this argument will howl about outcomes, but still understand what correctly upholds the levers of power in this society. That side understands that change comes about by changing the forces that control those levers by fairly electing representatives who will change what they can, through Constitutionally proper procedures.
The other side is increasing concerned with power at any cost, Constitution or fair elections be damned.

Bullshit. Donald Trump or his supporters didn't do that, they lied about having the election stolen. He's still lying about it. He didn't do that for no reason.
