I don't see this as a reason to avoid vax (you wouldn't have died without COVID), but the numbers are interesting.

(seen on Twitter, I have no knowledge of its accuracy)

I've seen it a lot and like you, I don't know about accuracy, but it stand to reason...Look at deaths from seasonal flu, and why.

Secondly, there are some horror stories out there about the quest for federal dollars and pressure being brought to bear by administration to jack the COVID deaths.

This would seem more salient if we didn’t live in a country where the number of people with comorbidities is measured in the 9 figures.

Google tells me 85% of people over 55 have at least one chronic condition. Over half have more than one.

Or, as Rumsfeld might have put it, you go to pandemic with the population that you have.

        Only non-witches get due process.

Odd that the OP thinks this validates some conspiracy theory, was there ever a time when we didn’t know that there were few deaths among the young and healthy and people with comorbidities were at a much higher risk? Was there ever a time when we didn’t know about the correlation between age and comorbidities? Did anyone ever try to keep that a secret?

            Exactly.

WHat percentage of this population would die from (not with) COVID considering their age, weight, hypertension, etc.

Hell, I have a ton of comorbidities...

Wouldn't you need some primary condition first before you can talk about comorbidities?

Also, what's the comorbidity of being so anal to make a comment like this one called and what is its influence on COVID?

                Definition of comorbid

: existing simultaneously with and usually independently of another medical condition

Diabetes is an illness. If you have hypertension, it's a comorbidity. Obesity is a disease. It's not a comorbidity unless you have COVID.

When an 80 year old dies, a few years might be lost.

When a 20 year old dies, decades are lost.

So we should be measuring days, months or years lost.
