Mrs. George has been taking some riding lessons at a local barn. She's had the itch to hop climb on a horse and feel the connection. She took a couple of lessons before the holidays and really enjoyed them.

    Kind of a proud moment...

So, she had her riding lesson this afternoon, and it went well. After the usual banter with the teacher, she told us to go to the barn and tack up the horse by ourselves. The last two times, she watched, and today she just said, "Get him ready, I'll see you in the arena."

Yeah, there were errors (minor) in saddle placement and in where the girth went (I put it too far back). Easily fixed.

Also, I haven't bridled a horse in more than 12 years - I got it right, first time, and right away.

    Good for me.

      Can’t be harder than intubation.

Glad she feels up to riding. That’s excellent.

          For me? No.

          More dangerous? Yep.

Indeed! I am so impressed. Give her a hug from me, please.

Not really. He is big-barreled, but not tall. About 15 ½ hands.
