          Gin and tonic is pretty close to being the alcoholic equivalent of Douglas Adams' Babel fish, but I wouldn't drink regular London dry gin neat unless I was at least a bit desperate. Not that that ever happens, of course.

          Some of the more unusually flavoured gins are delicious, but once you're paying more than $40 a bottle you might as well get whisky.
