Today's Lunch

I've been meaning to try this for a while...
It comes with seasoning packet, a packet of cayenne, some masa flour and that's it.
Brown some meat, add water, tomato paste, seasoning, and cayenne (if you want). Simmer for 15 minutes, thicken with masa flour/water if desired and simmer another 5 minutes.
I threw in a diced onion with the ground beef as I was browning.
It's...okay. Not the greatest, but it's easy and quick. If I had to make it again, I'd add some beans at the end, and, as the recipe suggests, reduce the water to 1 cup (from 2) and add a can of diced tomatoes.
3.5 stars out of 5.
My Instant Pot Chili is better, but a lot more work.

Chili does not have beans.
Measure the stuff out. You can duplicate it out of your pantry. You can also play around with the red pepper quantity vs. adding some fresh pepper such as a little diced jalapeno.
Edit: I wrote that before I read the package. Years ago everything had its own individual packet.
