As everybody has already said, stay as safe as you can, and hopefully you can get through this quickly and safely.

He’s going for a rapid PCR today at 2:30. I’m fine he seems over it. I’m still avoiding him until I get a negative PCR from him. Monday at 2:30 I’ll have my 6th vaccine.

Are you eligible for that prophylactic that Jolly posted last week?

I haven’t checked but I doubt it. I will have no trouble getting the one working monoclonal antibody treatment if I actually test positive and I know to do it early. Hopefully it won’t come to that.

Nothing useful to add, (though we’ve had two nasty respiratory virus go through our house lately that, according to multiple tests, are not Covid), anyway - thinking about you and hoping it’s not Covid!

He was PCR negative today. It’s either gone or the 12/26 test was a false positive. The former is more likely, the home test he used has a 98+% specificity, 86%. IOW, false positives are much less common than false negatives, by 7-10x.

No thought of having one unless I get symptoms. I have a booster scheduled Monday and an antibody test 2 weeks later.

Likelihood of 12/26 being a false positive is remote. He had Omicron. And cleared it really fast.

Now, what I don't have a clue about, is the viability of Omicron on fomites.

Yeah that seems the most likely explanation
