I have recently came across this.
Over the year of COVID-19, it seems most western nations grew fine with the “wealth per adult” metric. But Hong Kong took a big hit.The other thing I didn’t know before is that Hong Kong is richer than Taiwan, at least on the “wealth per adult” metric. Be it measured by “mean wealth” or “median wealth,” an adult in Hong Kong is more than twice as wealthy as an adult in Taiwan.
Oh, over 22 million (8.8%) of adults in the USA now qualify as “millionaires” in USD term.
Lots of other interesting nuggets.

I remember a wealth report from the federal reserve over a decade ago that put the 1% level of wealth at 8MM. I bet it’s north of 10 now.

A million ain't what is used to be. Or what it will be in a year or two.

KEY TAKEAWAYS
The minimum net worth of the top 1% is roughly $11.1 million.
A person would need to earn an average of $758,434 per year in order to join the top 1%.
The number of billionaires globally is around 2,800, and their numbers have been growing dramatically.
Wages for the top 1% of households from 1979 to 2019 rose over 160%—compared to 26% for those in the bottom 90%.
The widening gaps in wealth and income stem from a variety of factors, including the wealthiest's increasing dominance of public and private equity, and tax breaks.

Those numbers probably have a lot to do with an aging population in first world countries.

There's a point where the yardstick you measure with to determine your wealth shifts from what you have to what you've done.

You misspelled 'who'.
