It might be my turn

Hang tough. It just takes awhile...

-
Went to a different testing place - seemed a bit more together and took the quick test. We both got a negative finding for COVID. We are both still heavily fatigued though less congestion. I'm guessing we caught the flu - though both of us had the flu shot. Still, if this is a milder version of the flu, I'd hate to meet the real deal.

You've got man-flu, dude.
Very relieved to hear it.

Did either of you lose sense of taste or smell?
-
@jolly No, we can taste and smell - the one major symptom we missed from the onerous list. Also, while the quick test is less accurate, the fact that both of us got negative results provided some assurance that we're dealing with a flu.
As George noted, nice to not have to contemplate long-term issues.
This morning I feel about 10% better - congestion isn't in the chest as much - though my voice sounds ideal for FM radio.

It's been going around... sinusitis, bronchitis, etc. I had it for nearly 2 weeks. I've had a flu shot too. The lack of breath part scared me, but I never lost my sense of taste or smell, so I was pretty sure it was n't covid. I feel for you guy.... it just takes the punk out of you..

Same here. Haven't been on a bike in 2 weeks. Maybe Friday.

Kluurs, we are hearing similar here. People coming down with flu like symptoms yet testing negative for C19 and despite having had flu shots. Everyone is just assuming it’s the Omicron and hunkering down accordingly. Anyhow, I hope you and your spouse recover quickly from whatever bug it is you picked up.

Yeah, I think that’s the safest course. While it helps that both of your tests came back negative, reducing the chances of a false negative, you also may be dealing with your body fighting off the infection. I wouldn’t be surprised if your other test came back positive.

No need to test, am feeling fine. I was referring to what other people are experiencing here.
Although one case, a friend of my spouse, complains of a numb palete in addition to the flu/cold like systems.

Better energy - but still got crap in the lungs. I'm not sure if we're a couple of days away from well or a week. But, we're both feeling better. We are trying to avoid other people - though I did don a N95 and picked up some groceries.
We're putting all our good juju wishes on Jon.
