Mrs. George is recovering from some significant oral surgery. She has no appetite, so dinner was "whatever you want."

I wasn't particularly hungry either, so thought that "baked onions" would make a nice dinner.

Two medium-sized yellow onions thrown into the oven and cooked at 350 for about an hour and a quarter.

No seasoning, no spice, no nothing.

    Wonderful.

      You crazy, George.

Hope Mrs. George is recovering well though.

@xenon have you seen @Jolly 's link on baked onions?

They are WONDERFUL!!! Just sprinkle some salt on them and enjoy.

Yeah, Mrs. George has a Mercedes in her mouth. Terrible teeth, wonderful wife.

Should have looked at her teeth before I married her, 45 years ago.

            How is she doing?

            You could have had meatloaf.

              @mik said in Tonight's Dinner - Onions:

              How is she doing?

She's about 3 weeks out from having extractions and implants loaded - lower 4 incisors. Some minor-ish complications (lost some implant-backing stuff) but over all, OK. It will be better in another 2 weeks, I hope.

              You could have had meatloaf.

              Fuck.

I LOVE meatloaf, but she doesn't. So, for the most part, it's chicken, etc. I actually made hockey-puck steak for her last night (filet) and she enjoyed. She says pork is tough to chew. Go figure. As much as I love her, consistency is not one of her strong points, LOL.

I was gonna order in Thai (which, of course she doesn't like) for myself, but wasn't that hungry.

George, I'm going to make this for Christmas dinner with a roast capon. What kind of onions did you use?
