University of California Will End Use of SAT and ACT in Admissions
The change is expected to accelerate the momentum of American colleges away from the tests, amid concern that they are unfair to poor, black and Hispanic students.
Kinda insane.
Will hurt bright, poor kids.
I score pretty low on the visible “privilege” index (I had plenty of privilege though that doesn’t count for SJW points)
The thing that helped me was my good performance on high school standardized tests and my score on a grad school entrance exam.
Good luck competing with the world with this sorta crap going on.

I agree. The "everyone gets a trophy" crowd have ruined an entire generation of kids.

Nowhere do they state that they will increase their acceptance rate nor make less competitive to get into. Let’s see that.

What's interesting (and hopeful) to me is that most kids actually need that. They'll seek out their own competence games if none are provided. And hey, if it's kinda frowned upon, so much the better.

Why would a school want to increase the number of students who aren't smart?
I assume there is some kind of money angle. It only punishes the bright students and frustrates the dummies. Yes I said dummies, I am terrible.
