The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Eh, OG Gothic is just better, but unlike Twilight, she made some positive contributions to the vampire canon.

      Please love yourself.

I read Interview with the Vampire in the early 80’s and really enjoyed it, but I hated The Vampire Lestat which apparently puts me at odds with what everybody else thinks. There weren’t many vampire books back then, I picked it out because it looked different. It probably hasn’t aged well, ironically.

        I was only joking

She made a few interesting changes to the lore which was okay but ultimately led to glittering vampires.

This is why we can’t have anything nice.

What the actual hell is that?

            Best vampire stories:

            1. Dracula - read the Bram Stoker version; it's wonderful
            2. Salem's Lot - a masterpiece of horror, story-building, suspense, and horror.

Let The Right One In was pretty great, too. A shining example of how pacing alone can tell a story.

              Please love yourself.
