I have no idea how I can't have this shit.
You will, in all likelihood.
You guys have a pulse oximeter, I trust?

Yep.

You’ve boosted, that’s helped. Plus, I wouldn’t discount your Vitamin D intake.
I felt the same when Luke had it and we didn’t catch it… No idea how…

...by the way, if I get infected, I should be the winner for All-Time Most Unintentionally Ironic Thread Topic.

May I recommend Horse De-wormer?

I would gobble down some fucking horse paste right now if I could find a doc to give it to me. Or a vet. Likely my wife would too.
Our kid eats plastic, so, no reservations there.

Learned last night that the SIL in Russia came down with C19. She’s double vaxxed with Sputnik and is only experiencing mild symptoms - low grade fever, runny nose and loss of smell.
Hopefully, that'll be as far as it goes. D2's friend had similar symptoms and recovered pretty quickly. D2, OTOH, still suffers from SOB, weakness, and difficulty with taste.
On pins and needles though whether she gave it to her parents who are in their late 70’s and 80’ with a whole gamit of co-morbidities. May learn more tonight in a Zoom call.
Oh, man.
Please keep us posted.
This is such a SHITTY disease.
Latest word is that SIL continues to have mild symptoms, low grade fever and >95% O2 saturation. She figures she is over the worst since symptoms began last Wednesday. Unvaccinated 21 year old nephew has no symptoms, probably asymptomatic, and is staying with a friend who previously had C19. Good news is that SIL and nephew didn’t give it to grandparents and haven’t seen them since Saturday two weeks ago.
Nephew refuses to get the vaccine because he read on a “reliable Russian social network source” that the vaccine would adversely affect his fertility. Seems that his chronic asthma is not a factor in his decision making. No surprise the army rejected him; I was led to believe it was on account of his asthma, now I am not so certain it was because a weak respiratory tract. Rather, the rejection was because of his questionable cognitive acuity.

Shared with D4....
Tell her we said hi
from a socially safe distance of a time zone or two!You know what's a real pisser?
Memory foam mattress, bed frame, living room chairs, couch, and, I shit you not, a damn fridge were all delivered today.
Guess who got 'em inside?
The cats are sneezing uncontrollably, so I can't rule out the possibility that they have this shit, too. The only folks in the house who are guaranteed negative are me and the damn rabbit. But pretty likely he's gonna be on his own, starting tomorrow.
Oh, and our washer and dryer come Friday. I already told Puck-Puck he'd have to sign for the UPS guy. He just kept chewing on some hay so, you know what, I have no idea if he was even fucking listening.

You do what you gotta do. If you get it, I don't have a clue how bad or how light your symptoms may be...It's a goofy disease. I had it, unvaxxed, and besides some wonky taste stuff that hung in there awhile, I've had much worse colds. Afebrile and two days or so of a stuffy nose.
But you're young, in shape and nutritionally sound. I think you'll throw it off in no time. Providing you even get it...You may not.

I have heard that cats are susceptible to C19. Haven’t heard similar about rabbits or rodents in general.

Thanks, Jolly. My thing is, what could I have honestly done differently? Our strategy changed after we got vaccinated; before that it was "don't get this shit." After the vaccinations, what was the next step? Hold up for something like years? Because of my asthma, I took a lot of daily steps to try to prepare for the eventuality of getting infected. So, screw it, can only see what happens now.

Unless you (generic you) hermetically sealed yourself in a mayonnaise jar on Funk & Wagnall's porch for the duration, chances are you're getting exposed, sooner or later. It's not your "fault" or anybody else's. The damn virus is endemic.

On to the next question… The fridge… Think you could have ridden a bike with it?

With a half-decent cargo trailer, no problemo.
