On 29 November 2001, Harrison died on a property belonging to McCartney, on Heather Road in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. He was 58 years old. He died in the company of Olivia, Dhani, Shankar and the latter's wife Sukanya and daughter Anoushka, and Hare Krishna devotees Shyamsundar Das and Mukunda Goswami, who chanted verses from the Bhagavad Gita. His final message to the world, as relayed in a statement by Olivia and Dhani, was: "Everything else can wait, but the search for God cannot wait, and love one another." He was cremated at Hollywood Forever Cemetery and his funeral was held at the Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine in Pacific Palisades, California. His close family scattered his ashes according to Hindu tradition in a private ceremony in the Ganges and Yamuna rivers near Varanasi, India. He left almost £100 million in his will.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

And 27 years before that on 12/10/74 I saw him in concert on the Dark Horse tour in Boston Garden.

So I saw a Beatle in concert.

I remember, at one point Mr. Harrison took about a 20 minutes break while Ravi Shankar played the sitar, plink, plink, plink, plink, plink, plink, plink, plink, plink. It seemed like hours.

      George was terrific.

@mik 4. He wrote “Wah Wah” the day he quit the Beatles

          I hate that song.
