I'd have liked it better if they'd not included Yoko screaming, or whatever it was she was doing.

Agreed. It was a painful part of the episode, though thankfully brief.

That said, anything without Yoko Ono is better than anything with Yoko Ono.

      Anything.

Somewhere I read that Jackson's project had to have Yoko's approval, painting her in a pretty benevolent light. Note the dialog amongst the guys talking about Yoko's influence and presence.

      That's not an accident.

Did the Billie Preston arrangement really happen like that?

He just drops in, to say hello

        They show him the piano

        He plays some chords

George says, "you are in the group"

        The 5th Beatle

And that piano work that is all over the next 2 albums, I assume that is mostly BP

        Everyone is happy

In two hours of each video, there's about 15 minutes of storytelling, and 1:45 of the Beatles just "noodling around, "

The rooftop concert was fun to watch. I would have been happy with just that.

As someone said, regarding this series, "Everyone loves the newborn baby, but nobody wants to watch the labor."

            Yeah, true.

The Beatles were really pretty goofy.

At the time, I think, the image was more serious, like the music had a profound message. It seems they just wanted chords that didn't hurt your ears and words that rhymed.

And John spent a lot of time just doing silly stuff and acting cute. Ringo and George were saints putting up with all the nonsense.

If Horace told Apple to accept the Hell’s Angels he wouldn’t even have to give a reason.

So far this is a snoozer. Even for a fan.

The one thing this has given me is a realisation that the awful band I was in as a teenager (and we were genuinely, truly awful) wasn't actually as far away from The Beatles as I imagined. I generally used to switch off after about 30 minutes in those rehearsals, too.

                      I was only joking

I finally decided to watch the second episode. Better than the first but still pretty snoozy.

Next from Peter Jackson, we get to watch exclusive footage of the Sistine Chapel drying.
