Get the California King size, you'll never regret it.

Does she like a big thick comforter or something lighter?

Karla laughs at me because of this huge comforter that I love to pull out of the closet this time of year. It weighs 30 pounds or more.

MFR just bought a London Fog one for our bed. It's nice and fluffy and fleecy, very warm without being hot or heavy. We bought the king, but they have it in queen. I hate anything heavy on me at night.

@mik Arrrgh! They don't deliver to us, and stores are too far away.

              Off to Amazon I go....

I have no idea. I generally end up with nothing but a sheet if that. But I like this comforter.

We have a king size Pendleton blanket we use. This isn't the same color, but the same type of blanket. It's not scratchy, though it's wool, and it's wonderfully warm without being hot or clammy. We got ours at a Pendleton outlet store in Oregon at a deep discount. I am absolutly thrilled we did this, because I love it for being warm and light.

Is it because of the weight? If so, look at a weighted blanket. My wife LOVES her weighted blanket.

Exactly. That's why I posted about the Pendleton wool blanket. It's not heavy like so many others. It's not technically a comforter either, but we use it as that. It's warm enough to not need other blankets unless it's very cold. We keep our house at about 63 to 64 at night, and sometimes use a second wool blanket. Mr. and Mrs. George would likely not need more than one at the condo.

The other bonus is that because it's wool there is no clammy feeling. I hate a comforter that is not made from natural and breathable materials. Give me wool or cotton, please.

You mean the cats haven't nailed you in place yet? You know, when you're under the covers and they're on top of the covers, and one curls up behind your knees on one side and the other one socks in at your hip on the other side; both in a deeply unconscious state and not about to wake up, and you go to move and you're immobilized like a mummy?

@catseye3 Boris occasionally hops up onto the pillow above Mrs. George's head.

Maggie sleeps in her bed, at the foot of our bed on a cedar chest.

Bee (yes) still alive, is too frail to hop up on anything.
