    Where, US? VA?

US. We went from a rolling 7 day average of 72K to 87K. I’m sure that it’s mostly regional increases but am a bit too busy to dig into it.

Been watching it tick up again here too.

I think we've got one of the lower rates in the nation. Probably tick up again around Christmas...

Are the cases we're seeing less severe than they were a year ago?

I don’t think we will really be able to judge for a few weeks.

Just booked my booster. Rather than the 20 mile drive into Boston, I get to walk to CVS.

                  I was only joking

Almost two years out, we STILL don't know what the hell is going on.

Gibralter, with a vaccination rate of almost 100% is shutting down. Granted it's a small population, but, it's shutting down.

Other countries are doing the same.

The Chinese did good this time, didn't they?

On the case rate...I wonder what the dominate strain is and I wonder if the virus is mutating to a less lethal form?

Our usual Pfizer/Moderna/J&J or the other vaccines exported by China, Russia, or even India?

Yeah, but it's a little early for the hospitalizations to start increasing. Typically that is 4-6 weeks after the number of cases increase.

Not at all. Ask Jolly: people are going from "hey I feel funny" to dead within a week now due to the variants. Sometimes in 2-3 days.

The nice thing is, many if not most recoveries are also not taking 30-40 days like they used to.
