The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

I am sure our resident non-tribal centrists will giggle at this as they giggled at Rubin for being too dumb to understand cleverness, in that other thread.

      Education is extremely important.

I don't even understand what point you're trying to make. The former Rubin post was a subtle analogy and kinda funny. The above isn't so much funny as it is right. Are these two observations incompatible or disallowed somehow?

        Please love yourself.

I dunno, just bored and not making points. I do sometimes get annoyed at the low bar for lol-worthy humor when it makes a political point that appeals to the loler.

I'm beyond tired of that, to the point I honestly believe that humor relying on a political position is categorically boring. Like, make a joke about Trump being a bad man or gross or whatever, sure. But saying he's any of that because he's a Republican isn't clever or funny, it's masturbating.

            Please love yourself.

I first noticed the use of the word diverse to apply to a person rather than a group in May of 1990. I can pinpoint it in time because it was at a diversity training event right after being hired into my first job out of college.

The woman teaching it called herself diverse and said ‘many of us are diverse in one way or
another, clearly meaning some aspect that was not male hetero WASP.

I’ve been noticing it ever since.

It would be interesting to go back in time and see that course again. I’m sure it would seem quaint today.
