Rittenhouse verdict - how will America react?

"Terribly upset. This sets a very dangerous precedent because since he’s not guilty on all [five] counts — this man went up there from Illinois to Wisconsin with an AR-15 with the intent to kill," said protester Shabbir Manjee.
Ah... another mental giant armed with facts.
the most unsettling part is that our POTUS would agree with the sentiment. Like he agreed that Trump said neonazis were fine people.
No word from the people who voted for him regarding whether that's unsettling to them, too.

The verdict really speaks for itself. As many of you know, I’ve spent a majority of my career working to make the criminal-justice system more equitable, and clearly, there’s a lot more work to do. - Cameltoe "Headboard" Harris

No word from our tribalist leftist friends about whether narrative-as-truth in the mainstream politics and culture of their side, is unsettling in any way.
I have to hand it to the leftist establishment, they know exactly how and why people think and feel, and they are good at manipulating the masses.

Yesterday's WSJ:
A jury on Friday acquitted Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager charged with killing two people during unrest last year, after 3½ days of deliberations in a highly watched case that turned on whether the teen had acted in self-defense.
Mr. Rittenhouse, now 18 years old, faced charges of intentional, reckless and attempted homicide, and reckless endangerment. The case revolved around his actions the night of Aug. 25, 2020, as he patrolled the city with an AR-15-style rifle and a small medical kit amid unrest following the police shooting of Jacob Blake.

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity. -

As if you needed another reason to hate the NBA:
It is literally his job to regurgitate pop culture leftism.
The company I work for employs someone in that position, too. "Diversity and Inclusion Director". Only they're not just public relations, they contribute to HR policy. Most companies employ someone like that, or have entire groups devoted to that.

I've seriously lost all hope for this country.

Yep. Humans are programmable and our programming has inexorably been fvcked away from the good ideas of the founders.

So do we get to call of these idiots "Trial Deniers, Insurrectionists, and the greatest existential threat to the rule of law"?

Yes. Absolutely.
Jan 6 participants were dabbling with eroding our election process, but I'll allow that most of them got caught up in some unplanned bullshit and didn't really have any organization.
This is more subtle in that no gates are being stormed, but we're honestly talking about the righteousness of exposing jurors to dangerous fanatics, circumventing a court decision, and attacking a defendant because the moral mob didn't like what happened. What are the odds this kid can go to school? Get a job? Not get shot in public? This shit is worse in terms of the damage it's doing to civil society. It's easily worse.
