Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

      The "othering" continues apace.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Jen Rubin: “[The Republican Party] is a party that spends its entire time cooking up ridiculous culture memes & fanning violence & coming up with outright lies.”

        She’s quite observant.

Is it less objectionable when the ones being ‘othered’ were, say, Muslims?

I refer you to the "New Civility" thread. That's full of observations.

Both groups suck. (Sorry, @Horace , I guess that makes me ignin't! 😄) But here's my litmus test: to what extent does your worldview accommodate contrasting opinions? How do you handle disagreement?

That's why I'm much more likely yo hang with and vote for Republicans these days. Incredibly, they're on the whole more tolerant.

              Please love yourself.
