For those of you who have been to Chicago, you might recognize the "Old Post Office." It's a building that straddles the inbound Eisenhower expressway, just before you cross the river.
For years it's been an eyesore. Many abandoned and ignored spaces.
Looks like it's been rehabbed, and it looks fantastic.
"After sitting vacant for nearly two decades, The Old Post Office has just completed an $800 million renovation, the largest historic redevelopment in the country. Today, the property boasts over 2.5M SF of stunning multi-use office and event space, and is poised to once again become the central hub of Chicago's business community."

We saw the renovation going on, with helicopter cranes bringing in materials. Great project.

We drive downtown often enough that it's heartening to see old buildings repurposed in this way.
Another great example is the re-imagining of the old Cook County Hospital into a hotel, convention center.

It would be one hell of a task to tear that fortress down.

There should be at least one mailbox.
Even if it is behind glass.
