Quantum of Solace

I thought Q of S weak as well. In fact, I think the franchise has been steadily downhill since Casino Royale. Perhaps it’s the story arc. Have yet to see the latest instalment.
That said, I think Craig is a great Bond. Will be a hard act to follow.

It's been decades since I read any of the books.
Do they have all those drawn-out scenes that will become chases, fights, and stunts? If so, I don't remember...
But yeah, Casino Royale was the best, IMO, and I loved its fidelity to the book, and to the character that Fleming created.
"How did he die?"
"Not well."

Skyfall
Watched about 30 minutes on HULU this morning.
Amazing opening sequence. Motorcycles on slate roofs? Why not?
Fight sequence on top of a train? Sure....but, let's add a backhoe and have Daniel Craig do the actual stunts.
I have no idea where the story is going, but that first half hour was well done. I hope it doesn't disappoint in the end. I also hope that first half hour has something to do with the story to follow (unlike most Bond openings).

I’ve enjoyed every one of the Bond films. Even the last set, though with those I have to change my mindset and just imagine im watching a generic action hero film since he is no longer James Bond as I always knew the character.

There, that's a great explanation, and perhaps that's why I was disappointed in QoS.
he is no longer James Bond as I always knew the character.
He was in Casino Royale, though, no?

Craig has had more than his share of injuries...
- Casino Royale - front teeth knocked out
- Quantum of Solace - torn labrum and lost the end of a finger
- Spectre - sprained knee (ACL) and broken leg
- Skyfall - ruptured calf muscles
- No Time to Die - broken ankle
