I think they picked one of the more unique contemporary artists for the theme. Where does it rank in terms of Bond movie songs?

        Best Bond song: "Goldfinger"
Next best Bond song: "For Your Eyes Only"

Some will say, "Live and Let Die." It was always "meh for me."

This one fits the clips from the movie very well, but I'm not sure I like it more than others.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Nah. Live And Let Die is right up there with Goldfinger.

I'd have to think about which song I like best, but I can tell you which one I disliked the most: Skyfall. Once when it was playing over the system in the women's locker room I expressed the hope that the movie had more energy than the song, or it was in trouble.

OKish. The song is a bit too slow and with little development. It just goes on. Nice voice though.

I agree with Mik about Live and let die.

I also like "Golden Eye" a lot.

@mik said in Where does it rank?:

To my thinking it’s last really good song Paul McCartney wrote.

                  My top choices are:

                  Thunderball
You Know My Name (Casino Royale)
                  Goldfinger
                  Live and Let Die
                  You Only Live Twice

As well the instrumental theme from OHMSS is kickass in its own way.

                  Elbows up!
