When you shake someone's deep sense of self-worth, leaving a scar in their ego, they will persistently try to diminish you through petty arguments & obsessive captious criticism of your actions, just to soothe the wound.

I'll bet you were torn over whether to call this thread "Hay Jon!" or "Hay Larry!"

Me: Your honor, it was an accident that I ran over my EX. It was not intentional.
