Screw Trunk or Treat

Not disparaging the folks who do it necessarily—the church by our place does one and without it, trick-or-treating wouldn't exist at all.
But it's still horseshit. We're driving 45 minutes away to go proper Trick or Treating.

About 20 here.
Agree with Aqua re: Trunk or Treat. It’s cool if you are one of the vehicles, but not for the kids…

Condo living eliminates the "Trick or Treat" phenom.
That's a good thing.
Or, a bad thing, depending on your mindset.
And boomers wept, for there were no more lawns to tell the kids to get off of.

Our kiddo made out crazily. Each house was decked out, most had a theme going, and families were hanging out outside. Trick-or-treaters started forming ad-hoc groups among themselves. Our daughter dressed up as Anna, and she made friends with a VERY scando-looking kid who naturally was Elsa. We told folks why we were down there and half the houses doubled up on what they gave us as a result.
Halloween kicks ass. Anyone who says otherwise can look forward to flaming shit bags and sugar in their gas tank, courtesy of me.
