It's best not to shoot the neighbors.

Went to the DG just down the road to pick up some fries for the oldest granddaughter, who is camping out with the wife and I. Came back, there's a pickup in the driveway I don't recognize. Walk in the back door and call for the wife. No answer. Supper is burning on the stove. Highly unlike her.
Press check my pistol and thumb the safety. Call again and I hear my wife call back from the front porch. I walk through the door, gun in hand, but hid behind my back. She's on the porch talking to a man that lives down the road, whom I had given a chicken coop a couple of months back. He brought me a dozen fresh eggs.
He handed me the eggs and put out his hand to shake, so I had to excuse myself and I thumbed the safety back on and laid my gun on the woodpile before I could shake hands. He didn't bat an eye. Kinda shows where I live, doesn't it?
But no matter where you live, it's best not to shoot the neighbors.
Especially if they bring fresh eggs.

Fresh eggs > fresh bodies.

What kinda pistol?

Should have off’d him. Eggs have cholesterol.
