Apparently this means you clicked to add something to your Favorites list. You favorited it, you dig?

"Yeah, I already 'add to favorites' that one" doesn't make any sense.

Some folks use "saved" as a replacement, which works, but I'd point out that it began as an adjective, so it all depends how far back you want to go to play the blame game.

Anyway, you missed the boat. "Favorited" has been used in common parlance since '06. Ship's already sailed on this one. And while I like being a pedant and all, there's a difference between a common misunderstanding of language that gains popularity and muddles meaning (e.g. "expresso") and new usages that derive from new, ubiquitous technology. "Favorited" is the latter.

Ask around. I'm serious. Get out your phone and call the most recent ten numbers and ask those people what "favorited" means. In every case they'll tell you if English is their first language. New to you doesn't mean new to the rest of the world.

I see no problem verbing nouns. Or at least not any more.

When my four year old came home from day care one day, he told his mother and me that his class had gone on field trip around the neighbour and collected leaves , twigs, pebbles and the like to bring back to the class so that they could science them.

I do however have big problems with sports talk. The word winningest just does not cut it as bonafide word let alone adjective.
