One way or another the messaging of the left will be, for the foreseeable future, that conservatives are racist insurrectionists because January 6. They'll be teaching that in schools, too. Jan 6 is the best thing that happened for leftist messaging in years, and most left-leaning people feel duly elated about it.

Both sides have their boogeyman. The far right around here are talking CRT for every election from county commissioner to city councils to school boards to educational service centers. Mirror image of white supremacy.

Exactly. Dangerous thinking either way. Leads nowhere good. We need more dimensions to these discussions, not more boogeymen.

              Please love yourself.

I'm way more familiar and better thought out about the race narrative and its effects on America, than I am about anti-CRT rhetoric. But it doesn't pass the sniff test that these are equal and opposite forces for destruction and stupidity.

                  Disagree.

For the most part, white supremacy doesn't exist. Not in any significant way.

CRT is THE flavor of the moment, nurtured and grown in the fever swamp of university education departments, with the capability of fucking up young minds of mush for decades.

I think you would be hard-pressed to find a lefty who will argue in favor of a specifically defined CRT. The rank and file talking point regarding the CRT controversy is to eyeroll, mockingly ask the far-right wingnut to define it, and giggle at the out-group.
