This is what I don't understand about the fuss - our kids have been required to be vaccinated for all kinds of things in order to be allowed to attend school for years, but suddenly with the onset of Covid it's an attack on their civil liberties?
It's a load of bullshit, is what it is.

Agree 100%.
As part of living in a civilized society, there are things we all must do which may be against what we want to do.
I may be a nudist person and think it is in my right to go walk around with no clothes. Well, I can do that, but I will be restricted on where I can do that. If I want to go to any public spot, I will need to put clothes on.
I want to smoke? Well, yes, I can smoke, but there may be (many) places I may not be allowed to do that.
I dont want to get a COVID shot. Sure, I dont have to get one. But be prepared that there may be restrictions on where you can go.

As John D'Oh said, vaccines have been around for a long time. I heard that George Washington (even before he was the first US president) required his troops to take a "smallpox vaccine". Actually, not a true vaccine but the equivalent of one that existed back then.
