When I lived in Tucson, I was looking out the front window during a storm, when a lightning bolt hit, right across the street in the desert. It was a huge flash and then an almost instant explosion. Scared the daylights out of me, I had never been so close.
I walked across the street and looked. The lightning bolt hit a barrel cactus, which probably weighed a couple of hundred pounds. The cactus was blown out of the ground and landed around 20 feet away, split in half and charred.
Tucson had fantastic lightning shows. We were lucky, as our view overlooked the city. We also could watch as a dust storm would come across the city from the southeast, a huge wall of brown which would suddenly hit like a hurricane, sandblasting everything.
As for George's video, that was amazing! I watched it a couple of times, expecting to see fish floating on the surface.

That gives me an idea I'd like to pursue.Seriously 2 -- it did seem like the lightning bolt was horizontal at ground level, but maybe that was just the viewable portion of the bolt as it hit ground and skimmed over the surface. Wait, I'm going to look again. What did it hit in the water, maybe a log (?)

When the video is slowed down, it is easy to tell that the “lightning” strike doesn’t come from the sky, but from a wire on the hill. Here’s a screenshot showing the moment of impact (which can be glimpsed at the 7-second mark in the video above):

OK. So, they decided to blow up a stump, using 10 times the explosive necessary? On the History Channel swamp people shows, they dive down and attach cables. But of course it could be, that there are no cables in Europe. And why would a cable, with a rubber sheath around it, look like lightning, hmmm?

Black bears are like giant kittens compared to Grizzlies. But if they think you're food and are hungry enough, they can easily cut you to ribbons.
This woman's mistake was letting that bear get so close in the first place. I mean I get it, freeze and appear non-threatening is a go-to for people, but those three should have scared it off.

I'd pull out my phone and do exactly what the person recording it did. Except I might have to edit the audio afterward to mute out my pants-shitting, depending on how close I was.
I've been up close to black bears a couple times. They're freaky enough.
