Hippos are amazing swimmers. THey're closest cousins are whales.
THey're also fiercely territorial. They kill more humans every year than any mammal other than dogs (and other humans, obv).

Surprisingly, the most dangerous is the African Moose.
Never, I mean NEVER, roll your window down during an African safari to take a picture, even if the moose is yards away in the snow.
They are faster than a polar brown bear. -
