And makes a lot of sense, as usual.

Don’t ditch your T-shirt mask, though. A recent, extensive review of the research from an international consortium of scientists suggests that if at least sixty per cent of the population wore masks that were just sixty-per-cent effective in blocking viral transmission—which a well-fitting, two-layer cotton mask is—the epidemic could be stopped. The more effective the mask, the bigger the impact.
I've enjoyed all of Gawande's books (particularly the one on mortality) because they speak of common sense and compassion.

It's an excellent article. Not a lot that is new, but summarized very nicely, and from probably the best hospital I have worked for.

Mik - where is he, Mass General? The Brigham?

Both. But I was thinking mostly Mass General. I didn't do as much with Brigham and Women's.

He also just stepped down from CEO at Haven, the collaboration of Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway and JP Morgan Chase.

Seems an odd role for him anyway.

Everyone should read this article. He does an excellent job of explaining that masks protect those around us, including people in our families. You don't wear it to protect yourself as much as protecting others if you have the virus but haven't shown symptoms yet.
That's the point, you would be the source of infection for those around you, especially in your household. -

But a video on YouTube proves the opposite.
