Not right enough. The truly right thing to do is to eliminate the "debt ceiling" entirely.
We are spending our great-grandchildren's money.
The right thing to do is to keep lowering it until it hits zero.

The truly right thing to do would be to reduce spending to the point they didn't reach the ceiling in the first place.
