Apparently, Robert Plant and Alison Kraus are on the verge of releasing a new album.

I remember the hype over their last album, from a long-long time ago. In anticipation of the new release, I listened to "Rising Sand" this morning.

When it was released, I didn't like it.

Well, as of this morning, I still don't like it.

I liked it, but wasn't blown away by it. Easy listening, especially for long drives. I guess it's been years since I listened to it, though.

Re-listening a bit now. It basically just sounds like an Alison Krauss album, with Plant doing some soft, forgettable background vocals.

I’m sure it meant a lot to her for the chance to “work with Robert Plant”. You see actors doing that a lot. Taking a part in some trash movie so they can say they “worked with” some big name attached to the project. It’s entirely a vanity thing.

I found the droning monotonous background really, well, monotonous and boring.

Who else is going to work in movies other than actors? It's not as if they're going to hire trained flamingoes.

              I was only joking

You were complaining about actors being in trashy movies. I was wondering who else you expected to be in them.

I was commenting on actors who take parts just to say they have “worked with” some famous and often over the hill actor or director. The most recent time I thought about this was Val Kilmer’s biopic where he bragged about having worked with Brando. In a horrible movie, when Brando was in peak has-been mode, where Brando actually hated Val. But for Val it’s the story of when he worked with Brando.
