@renauda agreed.
I wouldn't trust him with anything in the light of these new revelations.
But...
Two points:
- We didn't know what a whacko he was at the time, and shame on everyone for not exposing it.
- The way he was treated by the FBI remains reprehensible. Just because you're nuts doesn't mean you should be treated the way he was.
-
Was there any indication, during the early Trump administration, that he was this crazy?
I don't think vetting new hires was the Trump administration's strong suit.
And you're full of shit.
There was no indication at that time.
OTOH, if you'd been through the needless stress he's been through, you might easily crack.
-
Gee, I wonder how he could ever believe that there were hidden factions in the government and intelligence apparatus that would be out to get him by any means…
-
According the the reports I've read, this is a rather dishonest portrayal of what he actually said. From what I've read, someone else said something to him in an email about it, and Flynn was basically just telling what that person said. Secondly, nothing was said about salad "dressing", bit the person had incorrectly as described an actual scientific study going on where lettuce is involved in the study being conducted.
Not defending the man, he may be a loony as Ax, I have no idea. But to claim Flynn said the government was putting the covid vaccine in salad dressing is, to be honest, a bare assed lie.

And you're full of shit.
Maybe I'll reflect on this for couple of Mooches.
POTD.
I think maybe you think things are funny or thrilling mostly based on how well they serve your emotional and political biases.
I'm sorry, I know that's not true, but sometimes I get that impression. Please forgive me for saying it, I know I'm wrong about it, but sometimes I feel that way.

That's literally almost everybody.
Yes it is.

Does anybody have any hydrogen cyanide?
Asking for a friend.

Dude, you're the engineer. Or at least at any rate you know damn well your Russian colleague could fix you up.
-
That or, Novichok.

We're not even allowed to keep di-ethyl ether on the premises any more. Back in the day, some of my favourite Friday afternoons were spent doing ignition testing with that stuff.

di-ethyl ether
I used it once. Horrible horrible anesthetic.
I think it was about as explosive as cyclopropane.
