So . . . About Sunday.

ESPN reports that of a field of 11 NFL predictors, 6 predict Cincinnati will win, 5 predict da Bearsss.
All 11 pick New Orleans over Panthers.
All 11 pick Tampa Bay over Atlanta,
those poor schmucks. -
@mik said in So . . . About Sunday.:
We should beat the Bears. Atlanta Tampa will be a good game.
Dalton starting for the Bears?

Dalton starting for the Bears?
From cincyjungle.com: "For their first road game of the season, the Cincinnati Bengals will once again face their old quarterback. The Chicago Bears are starting quarterback Andy Dalton for the time being, as questions of Justin Fields taking over are for another week."
-
In other news:
"The New England Patriots-New York Jets rivalry enters a new phase Sunday. Let's call it the Mac & Zach era. For the first time in the 62-year history of the series, the Patriots and Jets will start rookie quarterbacks against each other -- Mac Jones and Zach Wilson, respectively. These aren't just any rookies. They're both first-round draft picks and are considered the long-term answers at the position."
And:
"The New England Patriots will be without one of their starting offensive tackles this weekend. On Saturday afternoon, the team officially ruled out right tackle Trent Brown for their Week 2 matchup with the New York Jets."

The Patriots progress with Mac Jones will be interesting to watch, especially with both starting tackles out today.
Yup because that pesky vaccine problem with Cam keeps coming up and if the Pats don’t start winning it will linger.

Secondly, do you think of COVID vaccines during sex?
Dude you bring it up all the time… i don’t start posts or threads, just react to them. Know yourself.
But yeah you said the vaccine had nothing to do with Cam’s departure and here they are talking about it again.

You do know there's not a single vaccine related comment in that entire article, don't you?

Ma'am, it ain't "guys", it's "guy". Singular.
There are a couple of reasons Newton was shown the door:
-
Newton is a read-option QB. The older those guys get, the hits take their toll and we all know that the best ability in the NFL is availability. Cam is dealing with yet another Lis-Franc problem. One bad step, and he's gone for the season. And he still has the shoulder problem, which I think still affects his throwing.
-
As a read-option QB, Cam admitted he had a problem reading defenses and assigning blocking coverages under the Patriot system. On most NFL teams, the center assigns the blocking coverages, which is why when a team loses their starting center, they fail to cover the spread in the next game 80% of the time. Cam was having to assign blocking and do full-field reads on passing plays. In Carolina, the center assigned blocking and Cam read the Mike and safeties, then went through his progressions on a half field.
Can Cam still play somewhere? Maybe, as a backup. Depends on how bad he wants to play and how bad a team needs him...

My post referred to you and Loki. Guys, plural.
Talk about Cam or anything else footballish if you want. But I'd like it if you left the back-and-forth sniping at the door in here.
