Canadian Inflation & Trudeau

I still don’t understand how we separate inflation by country to the devasting impact of lockdowns created by Covid.
To me opening all offices and containing the virus is the key to blunting the inflation that is and is coming.
See the UK vaccination thread.

Entertaining article but it does not accurately describe the situation here. For one, the described lockdowns other than at border crossings, were exclusively within the jurisdiction of provincial governments. The Feds were only responsible for the approval, procurement and distribution of vaccines to the provinces and territories. All other measures were discretionary and at the support and request of the provinces. The Trudeau government did and continues to do an excellent job in this regard.
The current inflation rate is probably the least concerning issue people have with the Trudeau Liberals. All parties, O'Toole's Conservatives included, propose increased spending on the health care, environment, infrastructure and social programmes. The main issue people have is that the Trudeau Liberals have called an unnecessary election when it could have easily continued to govern in its minority with continued the support of other parties in the House not including the official opposition, Conservatives. Arrogance on the part of Liberals.
On Monday I will not be voting for the Liberal candidate in my riding, nor will I vote for the Conservative candidate. Rather, my vote will go to the NDP incumbent.
