    Thinking on Biden's vaccine speech....

Whoever wrote that for him did a good job. Biden went out of his way to single out people who had not been vaccinated and specifically told them it was not a matter of personal freedom. Well, that's the issue with many of them, especially Trump voters.

Biden was poking the bear. He wanted a swift and angry reaction. If you go back and listen to the speech, Biden has actually done...Nothing. He has instructed the Labor Department to come up with this rule for vaccination. Folks, if Biden's' handlers actually thought they could do it and get away with it, they would have done it and told the opposition, sorry, fait accompli.

I think part of the reason he didn't say this has already been done and the rules will hit your desks in the morning, is because one of the largest segments of the unvaccinated are core Demonrat voters - inner city minorities. I don't think Joe wants to upset them. They won't be pushed.

That part of the speech also helps through red meat to Biden's base, which absolutely hates Trump voters and would be tickled if all the MAGATs dropped dead. So the unvaccinated, slobbering MAGAT voters are now cast as the enemy of the sane, educated, vaccinated voter of the Left. Nice divisional politics.

Old Joe, the divider, not the uniter.

This speech was meant to control the knobs of the media and get Afghanistan off of the front page and the airwaves. It was meant to get our minds off of the Americans left behind and the abysmal failure of Foggy Bottom and the Biden Administration at the Kabul airport debacle. It was meant to keep those images of flag-draped coffins and burials out of the news. It was meant as a stop on Joe's sliding poll numbers.

Whoever wrote the speech and coached Joe up, did a good job...

“Cry havoc and let slip the DOGE of war!”

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

Spot on and what I have said since the speech.

“I am fond of pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.” ~Winston S. Churchill
