Harry Reid: "Kill the filibuster"

I (almost) respect Harry Reid as a savvy politician.
Whatever little respect(ed) I had for him I lost when he accused, on the Senate floor, Mitt Romney of not paying income taxes. He had no evidence, he just said it.
When asked about it, years later, his response was (paraphrased), "He lost, didn't he?"
What a despicable human being.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

John Adams (though he might not qualify as a politician)
Thomas Jefferson (though I am not a huge fan)
James Polk
