Loki, at least they're vaccinated. Probably.

That was as moronic as anything I have seen on the subject.
Yeah, we're ignoring medical experts and listening to sports journalists.
The sports journalist makes more sense than some of the idiots I've seen in the government. Here's what he's saying and it's the same thing I've been saying for months...
Normal life will not be denied. You can only scare the Hell out of people for so long, and you better have something truly scary to keep the skeer up (with hat tip to J.E.B.). It's time for people to quit being afraid. COVID is now endemic. It is here to stay. And hopefully, the mortality rate will fall with subsequent variations.
In the meantime, it's time to live life, especially among those who are at the least susceptible to the serious symptoms of the disease. It's time to go to a college football game, for a teenager to take a cute girl out for a hamburger and a movie, for a high school prom and for a young family to take a Disneyworld vacation.
Get vaccinated. Wear a mask if you're uncomfortable (for all the good it will do you). Don't go to school or work with a fever. If you are among the most vulnerable, change what you can (weight, behavior, etc) and take what precautions you can or feel comfortable with.
But for God's sake, quit living in fear!
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
