We’re buying a new bed. I’m considering getting a split king since I suffer from reflux and Karla suffers from my snoring. Anybody have experience with one? Should I just get one of those wedge pillows?

    Thoughts?

We have a split king. The best thing in the world is the remote control, raise/lower the head or foot of the bed, and best of all various settings for vibrating. With my back, the ability to reposition the bed has been fantastic. Besides, it's fun to bug my wife by playing with the remote in the middle of the night.

        That last benefit is intriguing....

We still love our Tempurpedic, but the next one will be a split king adjustable. With the Tempurpedic, they are so damn heavy that just taking the mattress off to put on a bed skirt or rotate it is a big task.

I have a friend who swears by his. I'm still sleeping on a Restonic cool foam.

Well, truthfully, I sleep in my recliner a good bit.

Anybody use one of those sleeping wedges? I’m not talking about a small 2 inch wedge, but one that elevates 7 inches or so.

I used one higher than that when my lungs were disintegrating.

How expensive are split king beds nowadays? Is it affordable for most people?

Yeah, I could only sleep on a recliner for about 6 months before/after back surgery #1. Actually, it was very comfortable, and I don't like anyone else sitting in it. Kind of my "Archie Bunker" chair, it fits me as I broke it in.

We have our bed customized so the entire mattress at the head of the bed is elevated several inches. Hubby and I both have acid reflux issues, so instead of wedges, we have this solution. I still use two or three pillows to raise my upper body.
