You can disregard most of the video and the talking heads...There's a small piece of tape at the first, featuring Biden and he mentions he has a list of reporters he has been "instructed" to call on.

My question is: Are the selected reporters instructed in what questions they can ask?

This goes back at least to the 90s. It's not a Joe Biden thing. Literally at all.

    Please love yourself.

I've seen two of Trump's press secretaries interviewed in the last week. Both said Trump was never instructed on who to call on. He had his favorites - all Presidents do - but in a conference they swore they never had people lined up for him.

Yes, the Trump people say never.

I assume the reporters are given the questions to ask Mr. Biden.

Watch the end of Biden's PC after Afghanistan and tell me with a straight face they're in his pocket and he screened the questions.

                  They obviously did.

There is no way that demented president could answer a surprise question.

Put aside, for a second, the question of whether POTUS was "instructed" to answer questions from selected reporters.

The bigger question is what POTUS would actually say that.

Yes, when he said he was instructed, I think it got everyone's attention.
