Notre Dame gives fiery defense of leprechaun mascot after survey deems it 'offensive'

"Our symbols stand as celebratory representations of a genuine Irish heritage at Notre Dame a heritage that we regard with respect, loyalty and affection."

I can't roll my eyes anymore today. I'll hurt myself. Really.

The IDIOTS who say it is offensive had to say that sooner or later.

It is of course STUPID and the Fighting Irish will never change.

The Irish are drunken brawlers, always have been, always will be.

All 8 of my great grandparents were born in Ireland.

All the offensive Irish stereotypes are true, live with it.

I asked all my leprechaun friends about this.

Just for the sake of full disclosure, there aren't that many in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, but anyway...

None of the leprechauns I asked were offended.

        Not a single one.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

No Irishman is sober enough to care.
