Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

      Won’t get past the senate.

Yeah, they had the good sense to separate it from the other bill. This is DOA but delivers to the base. It’s their ivermectin.

Because in your mind, ivermectin-as-miracle-COVID-cure is as broadly a partisan issue as actual legislation actually being voted on in the actual congress along actual party lines. Because you're familiar with a podcaster and maybe some Facebook posts supporting Ivermectin.

          Education is extremely important.

Actually I probably wouldn’t have been very aware of Ivermectin if not for this place. Bret Weinstein was on my radar a long time ago and then I forgot all about him until you brought him up. My second take on him was very different from my first. I’ve been watching his tweets of late and he seems to be pivoting.

Neither would I be. And that was more or less my point. But, you've assigned Ivermectin advocacy to a broad range of people now, and ascribed to it a broad political base. It's ok. Emotional thinking is what it is. It's how we're all wired, to one degree or another. Not me, of course - I'm better than that - but that's only because I'm good looking, and good looking people are better at everything.

Did I bring him up? I recall Klaus and jon dismissing him and his brother as conspiracy theorists, which motivated me to look up Bret's podcast to inform myself of this shocking turn he'd taken. In retrospect, I gave too much credence to the research and expertise he brought to the table to generate his opinions on Ivermectin. I'm still not clear why he was ever so convinced, nor whether he's less convinced now.

By the way, Bret is a lifelong lefty, self-described, and in nearly all of his political views.
