    Ivy league

    Unemployable

    "totally insufferable"

It's Fox, still, it is nice to hear

'Woke' Ivy League teaches young Americans how to be 'totally unemployable'

Author and commentator Douglas Murray showed support for a magazine editor who said he's no longer hiring Ivy League graduates for their compliance with "woke" culture. Murray further argued that Ivy League colleges that push woke culture teach young Americans how to be "totally unemployable."

DOUGLAS MURRAY: Mr. Reno is on to something. He says even the non-woke students who come out of the Ivy League these days are damaged by the experience that they've gone through of keeping their heads down, of having to shut up, at best.

And I thought there was something else very interesting he said, he said, 'I don't want to hire someone who makes inflammatory accusations at the drop of a hat.' Many employers across America are going to be feeling this. I'm very pleased that this employer has spoken up. If more did, then perhaps the Ivy Leagues might start to listen and realize that they're training young Americans to be totally unemployable.

The Ivy Leagues have had this extraordinary reputation as the Rolls Royce of America. The problem is it's the Rolls Royce engine that's gone kaput first. It's the top schools that are the most woke. It's those ones that are telling people to become totally insufferable. So if people work hard, get through the state school system, they should certainly be in a much better position than any of their ultra-woke Ivy League contemporaries.

"Shut up" is pretty much it. All of our dumbest cultural ideas are around the notions we're all supposed to shut up about. Shame has consequences, and the left is acutely aware of those consequences they can visit on those who disagree with them. Do you trust anybody else to be your own moral compass? Because the west has abandoned its moral compass to white female progressives. It all follows from that. Skimming WTF is endlessly informative, for those with the courage to look. Elderly white progressive females and feminized men are the touchstone of our cultural ideas. I understand that some of us have a sexual fetish for those sorts of people, but we shouldn't abandon all reason in pursuit of it. IMO.

      Education is extremely important.

As an aside I found an interesting piece on what Ivy League graduates do when they graduate.

I looked for something that sounds like manufacturing

          I couldn't find it

It's too bad we can't make things anymore

The reason the financial sector recruits from MIT and Harvard (and no, not from their -studies departments) is because they want the highest IQs. Derivatives etc need to stay one step ahead of the game to take some piece of the numerically complex financial pie, value-added not necessary or encouraged.

As far as -studies nonsense that Harvard has gotten in to the business of producing, obviously those people are useful only inasmuch as they would have been useful without their degrees.

I know a fair number of Ivy League kids. Mainly they soon go to Med school, Law School, a top B school, a top consulting firm or investment banking.

Consulting firms hire them so they can command a higher billable rate and a 3.5 GPA is the cut off to be considered. Most engineers I know don’t go to an Ivy League School.

Yes the sales aspect is never to be overlooked. Your alma mater may not be useful in some respects, but when you're a salesman for a high-priced product to a well-heeled client, it's nice to be able to say it at the dinner meeting.

100%. Also they combine IQ with extroversion and swagger which makes them well suited for biz Dev.
