My son-in-law's best friend died this morning. He was 33.
Diabetic, the disease took him down. He had been in ICU the last several days, after over-correcting with his insulin. While in ICU, he threw a clot.
Sadly, he was an only child, never married, had no children. I've known his mother for many years, she's been my wife's anesthesiologist on multiple cases. He was a good person.

Sorry to hear that. Sad day. My semi-adopted brother died this morning, but he was 70. Last week he passed out and was taken in, where they found he was bleeding internally. Needed four pints. Exploratory found a bleeding ulcer. He never came off the vent.

Very sad. For some reason it’s the sudden or unexpected events that seem to hit harder.
I have a close friend who is dealing right now with such grief.

+1
Jolly, that's just way too young. Condolences to both families, his and yours.
Mik, it's hard when it's family, and it sounds like you were close. So sorry for you and your family.
