Preferred pronouns are a thing in my reality. A couple news hires have introduced themselves by first stating their preferred pronouns. (They were both standard self-identifiers - just white progressives who wanted to signal that they're down with the transgendered.)

They are in charge of the attitude of the room, for whomever follows them in the self-introduction. Does the person who follows, follow suit by stating their preferred pronouns? Or are they seen to be making a statement by not doing that?
What you are noticing here, is my profound empathy. In this case, for the person who follows the woke, in the self-introduction. It's the first impression they make on the company at large, and they're forced into making a statement about progressive gender politics. It's very sad, and my empathy is deep for them.

Who knows? And who cares? And why should you care?
Where is it written that these morons should be in a position of ascendency? Is that where you want to direct your consciousness, by catering to these destructive, clueless, spoiled and depressive brats?
