But, this is a wonderful example of style over substance. No question that it's cool, but...
If your goal is to have people get from one point to another, is climbing stairs the most efficient way to do it? Prolly not.
If your goal is to attract tourism, I suppose it works. But, how many people like me are you going to scare away?

I'd certainly cross that bridge if I were in the area. Looks great. There is no reason to make a bridge for tourists particularly efficient. The bridge is part of the adventure of visiting.

That's my guess. If the thing provided a necessary thoroughfare, I'd be in George's camp. But I'm guessing it isn't?
