We have the freedom to choose our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run, there's still time to change the road you're on.

Where was Rep. Cheney in January 2017?

          Kabuki theater.

And Cheney is rapidly becoming the most hated woman in the Republican Party. I really don't know what she is trying to accomplish.

I think there's still a constituency of people who want integrity in politics.

Liz seems to at least advocate for those ideals. (I dunno if she lives up to them behind closed doors).

I like that people like her exist. It's clearly not in her political interest to advocate what she's advocating for. She's not angling for a democrat job.

Yep. I listened to a lot of it the other day. It was totally scripted to appeal to emotion rather than fact. And it all falls flat in the face of their support of rioters last summer. The only thing that is really different is the venue.

                            Release the video:

Officer Dunn said a woman in a pink MAGA shirt called him the “n” word. That should be easy to find in the 14,000 hours of tapes and videos of the melee that day. It’s too bad that Capitol Police officers weren’t wearing body-worn cameras on January 6. It would make it easier to determine if the officer—who is a notorious Trump-hating partisan who cheered on the Kenosha riots and called the January 6 protesters “insurrectionists” and is on a first-name basis with congressional select committee members—is telling the truth.

But if “white nationalism” is what differentiates noble from ignoble riots, then let’s see some proof.

                            Release the videos

At least they get to sing God Bless America from their solitary confinement prison cells every night before lights out. When looking at the charges against them, it becomes very evident that the Biden Administration has turned them into political prisoners. We just haven't gotten to the show trials.

                              Yet.

If I was the GOP, I would start running campaign ads in select districts, pointing out that equal justice under the law no longer exists. And I would take that hammer and swing it again and again, painting the Dens as freedom-hating, fear mongerers, who no longer believe in the Constitution.
