She just looks like a nurse.. and I mean that as a compliment. Sorry to hear it. Her husband is going to need his friends after this, because he's going to blame himself.

What a shame. She's lovely and I have a great respect for nurses.

Nurses rock. Whether nature or nurture, they seem tethered to reality more than most. RIP Tina.

I was, by no means, close to Tina. I only saw her on the occasions that I'd go to OB to pop in an epidural or for a c-section. She mostly worked postpartum, not L&D. Still, since it was small unit, with less than 800 deliveries a year.
Nevertheless, she was sweet, good, and kind. I imagine that she and her husband moved when the administration decided it was no longer profitable to run an OB unit.
The fact that we were not really all that close doesn't diminish the fact that I feel a loss.

Some of the world's best people are nurses - angels of caring. We need them. Sorry, George.

Oh my. That's very sad. What an awful thing for their families. Gonna be a very rough time for all of them. Did they have kids?

So sad...I'd love to have a bike and everytime I almost talk myself into it, I hear another story like this...
