Presumably you can push hard on an ebike if you want to, right?
Isn't cycling of any type as hard or as easy as you want it to be?
As far as that Fitbit accuracy goes, I did a comparison with a proper Wahoo heart rate monitor, and the Fitbit was close enough that I've never bothered with the monitor again.

You can, but there are limits. Unless the terrain is gradual, Class 1 eBikes like I have don't throttle. They're good at cutting off your most serious efforts if you want them to, but anything moderate, you're still putting forth the same effort—you're just also going faster.
All that changes once I hit 20mph, when the motor turns off.

I don't know your heartbeat profile, but at least the second calorie number looks rather high. If I'd pedal for 42 min with 123 beats avg, I'd definitely burn less than 457 calories.

Doesn't matter. The point is that eBikes are indeed exercise. Just not necessarily hardcore cardio exercise.
